Hi! I’m Zayda, a Spanish teacher based in Santiago, Chile. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and I’m also a professional English-Spanish translator, so I know exactly where English speakers struggle with Spanish and how to explain it clearly. I have 2 of experience teaching students from around the world.

What I teach

Neutral Spanish, understood across the Spanish-speaking world.
Chilean Spanish, including slang like “cachai” and “al tiro”, perfect if you’re traveling to or moving to Chile.
All levels, from complete beginner to advanced.

How my classes work
Classes are online via Zoom. In our first session, we talk about your level and goals, and I design a plan just for you. Each class combines conversation, vocabulary, grammar and listening practice. With beginners, I explain in English when needed. With advanced students, we speak mostly in Spanish. After each class, I send notes and short exercises so you can keep practicing.

Travelers, expats, professionals, students preparing for exams like the DELE, or anyone who simply loves the language.

Schedule
I’m based in Santiago (GMT-4 in winter, GMT-3 in summer) and can adapt to your time zone.
