Francisca Castro

Hi! I'm Fran, an English teacher and a Spanish teacher for foreigners.

I have over 4 years of experience teaching English to students of all ages, and I studied English Translation at IES Nueva Fromación. I currently teach at a primary school, so I know how to adapt the pace and activities to each person, from kids to adults.

What my classes are like: they are practical, dynamic and focused on getting you to speak from day one. Before we start, we have a short chat to get to know your level and your goal (traveling, working, preparing for an exam, improving your conversation or simply building confidence). From there, I design a plan tailored to you, with, conversation practice, useful vocabulary, grammar in context, reading and listening comprehension. At the end of each class, I send you a summary of what we covered and some tips for practicing on your own.

My experience with other languages and cultures: I'm bilingual in Spanish and English. I worked in customer service at a European airport and volunteered in Romania, Cyprus and Spain, so I know firsthand what it means to use a language to really communicate, not just to pass an exam. In my Spanish classes for foreigners, I focus on real-life situations: introducing yourself, handling paperwork, getting around the city and having confident conversations.

What you'll find in my classes: a relaxed, pressure-free environment, clear and kind corrections.

If you'd like, send me a message and we can schedule a first class to see if we're a good match. I look forward to meeting you!
