Initially, an athlete, Dëmíkå’s love affair with music did not happen until her later teen years. Music quickly shifted her focus and became the catalyst for her professional development. She entered the University of the West Indies Department of Creative Arts St. Augustine and obtained her bachelor's in Musical Arts with honours. A vocalist, pannist and her prowess in multi-percussion (studied under the tutelage of Dr. Jeanine Remy) are simply some aspects for which she is commonly known. Dëmíkå continues her love for children's advancement through her studies as she is also currently obtaining her masters in Inclusive and Special Education studies with a focus on those with Gifted and Talented abilities at the UWI Department of Education sector. As an inclusive educator and music director of her music School "Lodestars Music House", Dëmíkå enjoys working with children and states, its one of her greatest joys apart from the stage, as it allows her to help shape the future leaders of tomorrow. A charismatic and engaging artist, she is known for her soulful performances, a keen ear, eye for detail, and her reassuring professionalism. Dëmíkå looks to the future with hope and openness, pushing herself to accomplish and become all that God wills.
